چکیده
Simulating violent free-surface flows by particle methods is effective. In recent years, the SPH (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics) method and MPS(Moving Simulation method) are considered representative especially in fields of ship engineering civil but these need various artificial parameters calculation may have unnatural large numerical oscillation calculated pressure values. order to avoid problems, authors proposed another based on finite volume techniques. The usefulness two-dimensional problems has been verified comparing fluctuation when a water tank model forcibly oscillated with corresponding experiment [1]. Therefore, this research, extended algorithm so that formula can be applied three-dimensional problems. effectiveness demonstrated applying dam break problem.

Three-dimensional numerical modeling of score hole in rectangular side weir with finite volume method
Local scouring in the downstream of hydraulic structures is one of the important issues in river and hydraulic engineering, which involves a lot of costs every year, so the prediction of the rate of scour is important in hydraulic design. Side weirs are the most important of hydraulic structures that are used in passing flow. This study investigate the scouring due to falling jet from side weir...
متن کاملOn a Hybrid Finite-volume-particle Method
We present a hybrid finite-volume-particle numerical method for computing the transport of a passive pollutant by a flow. The flow is modeled by the oneand two-dimensional Saint-Venant system of shallow water equations and the pollutant propagation is described by a transport equation. This paper is an extension of our previous work [Chertock, Kurganov and Petrova, J. Sci. Comput. (to appear)],...
متن کاملCoupling of Finite-Volume-Method and incompressible Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics Method for Multiphase flow
A drawback of the Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) method is its computational effort. An intuitive way to reduce the calculation time, is to use SPH only in parts of the problem domain where it is necessary, e.g. in a region where interfaces are present, because of the advantages of SPH for multiphase flow. In other parts of the problem domain, e.g. in a region of simple flow, a cheap met...
متن کاملthree-dimensional analysis of bearing capacity of square footings on convex slopes by finite element method
soil slopes are sometimes curved in plan rather than being straight. this curvature, especially when it is convex, decreases the bearing capacity of the slope. finite element methodhas been used here in this research to investigate the reducing effect of curvature on bearingcapacity of a slope. failure of soil has been assumed to be according to mohr-coulomb criteria;but the flow rule of the soi...
متن کاملMechanical Buckling Analysis of Composite Annular Sector Plate with Bean-Shaped Cut-Out using Three Dimensional Finite Element Method
In this paper, mechanical buckling analysis of composite annular sector plates with bean shape cut out is studied. Composite material sector plate made of Glass-Epoxy and Graphite-Epoxy with eight layers with same thickness but different fiber angles for each layer. Mechanical loading to form of uniform pressure loading in radial, environmental and biaxial directions is assumed. The method used...
